CellInfo is a MicroStation™ utility that was developed as a debugging aid for a 3D visualization project where 2D cells were replaced with 3D equivalents. The MicroStation Element Information dialog did not display the cell’s rotation matrix and whether the cell was mirrored or not. Since the scalar rotation angle alone does not indicate whether the cell is mirrored or not, there was a need for a tool that displays the rotation matrix as well as detailed cell information necessary for orienting the 3D equivalent cell.
In addition to displaying rotation matrix information, CellInfo will also display the information about each cell header in a nested cell and well as a draws a visual point at the cell’s origin (as visual aid).
